I chose Alphonse Mucha's poster for Job cigarettes as an example of art nouveau because of a few reasons. His stylized lines, reflecting plant like designs, are a common trait of graphic design from this period. Also, the fact that the entire poster is filled with decorations and ornamental elements, reflect the common appeal to decoration and detailed design. My work is demonstrative of Mucha's because of the plant like strands of hair, decorative border, and lots of detail.
